Vehicle Maintenance & Care

Look after your Hyundai and it will look after you.

Regular Care of your Hyundai

Regularly before driving your vehicle, or when you fill up with fuel, carry out a general check as described in your owner’s manual. If you notice anything that doesn’t operate correctly or appears to be functioning incorrectly, inspect it carefully and seek assistance from your Hyundai dealer should vehicle maintenance be required.

Cleaning washing and Waxing

Wash your vehicle frequently, at least once a month. Dirt is abrasive and can scratch the paint if it is not removed. Air pollution may damage the paint through a chemical reaction if pollutants are allowed to remain in contact with the surface. Start by rinsing your vehicle to remove dust and loose dirt. Use a good quality car washing solution. Don’t use household detergents as these may damage the paint. Use a clean cloth or sponge and rinse frequently. After washing rinse thoroughly and dry the vehicle with a damp chamois or soft absorbent cloth to eliminate water spots from the dried paint surface. Always wash and dry the vehicle before polishing or waxing. Use a good quality polish or wax product and follow the manufacturer’s directions. Any scratches in the paintwork should be immediately covered with touch up paint to prevent corrosion.
