Audio
We're very poud of the audio equipment in the i30. An iPod®, MP3 player or other external music device can be connected directly to the centre consol- allowing your portable music to be played while driving, and controlled either through console or, or via convenient steering wheel controls. All i30 models have stereos with excellent sound, and elite variants have sophisticated 6-disc in-dash CD player with six speakers.
A fold-down central arm rest
The front central arm rest has a dual storage compartment, providing ample space for everything from CDs to an MP3 player or wallet (2.0 petrol and 1.6 diesel only). It also has two cup holders for the use of rear seat passengers (Elite variants only).
Climate control air conditioning
Climate control air conditioning including interior pollen filter, allows you to select the exact temperature you desire (Elite variants only).
Keyless entry system with burglar alarm and boot release
The compact folding ignition key provides remote controlled keyless entry to the central locking including a boot release. It also controls the onboard burglar alarm.
Tilting & telescopic steering column
By adjusting the steering wheel height and placement you can create the best driving position for yourself.
Blue lit dash board lighting
Clear analogue instruments with a blue ambient light are calming and easy to read. A digital display panel sits centrally and is designed for viewing essential infomation at a glance.
Glove box cooler
A chilly bin in the car! Uses the air conditioning to keep drinks and snacks cool during long journeys. (2.0 petrol and 1.6 diesel variants only).
Rear centre arm rest
A fold-down central armrest features two generous cup holders for the convience or rear seat passengers (Elite variants only).
Map reading lights and sunglass holder
The map reading lights give directional light onto both front seats whenever needed. And there's also a handy storage bin to keep your sunglasses from getting scratched or crushed.
Electric chromic rear-view mirror
This rear-view mirror automatically senses and reduces light intrusion from following vehicles. This dramatically reduces eye fatigue in tough and dark conditions (Elite variants only).
i30. Interior
Spacious, modern, and functional the i30’s interior is as good as its exterior. Comfortable seats, a leather-clad steering wheel, and high-quality soft-touch plastics with a thatched treatment. Clear instrumentation is lit by a restful blue ambience at night. This is coupled with the sweeping, gently embracing console to give the cabin a future-forward feel. Controls are all at hand and well-designed ergonomically, and the i30 boasts an impressive array of the best car safety features available. The rear seats easily accommodate two Kiwi-sized adults, or 3 boisterous children – you choose!
